Dr Lim trained in New Zealand, completing a four-year Bachelor of Arts Degree, with First Class Honours, a two-years Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Ph.D. Originally from the multicultural society of Malaysia, Bee speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and enjoys working with people and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Bee’s approach to psychological work focuses on helping people utilise their own unique strengths while learning new skills to improve their wellbeing, resilience and overall quality of life.
Bee specialises in psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment of the psychological aspects of cancer. Some of the concerns patients and their families commonly bring include; difficulty adjusting to diagnosis and treatment; anxiety, fear, panic and excessive worry; feelings of low mood and sadness; body image concerns; difficulty coping as a couple/family; fear of recurrence; post-treatment survivorship issues; and meaning-making.
